Working on Equity in achievement the EASE way

This spring has offered many opportunities to work with Principals and teachers in various locations about developing an outcomes based approach to student learning. It is very exciting to see educators shift their traditional lens for looking at student learning just enough to see that there are so many ways to look for evidence.

I have also started using this approach in a graduate class I am teaching at NEIU. my students are middle school teachers working towards middle school math certification.  they love knowing that they also have a “second chance” in giving meaningful evidence.
